Because of the number of providers in the market, it is easier for some proxy providers to get lost in the crowd, and such is the case of the Proxy-IPV4 service. I say this because of my experience with it in the past — not even the research I did now before writing this review.

This is a provider that should be at the forefront, looking at its proxy offerings, pricing system, quality of service, and customer support. So what do I think about this provider and their proxies? I set out to get honest details about this service, including carrying out a performance test to see how it performs. The result of my findings is discussed in this Proxy-IPV4 review.

The Proxy-IPv4 does have the name IPv4, which announces it as a provider of IPv4 proxies. It might interest you to know that this service also supports IPv6, which can be seen as an afterthought. This service is based in Russia but does offer its service to users from all around the world. Proxy-IPv4 provides both mobile and private (datacenter) proxies. But for now, I only purchase their private proxies to test.

In subsequent reviews, I would include their mobile proxies in it. Their private proxies are dedicated proxies you don’t have to share with anyone. The service does have its eyes on privacy and security. It does not leak your IP, nor does it keep track of your activities.

One thing you will come to like about this service is the diverse use cases you can use their proxies for.The service even has specialized pools for specific use cases. If you take a look at it homepage, you will see that it does have proxies for social media marketing, SEO, and a good number of other tasks.

However, there is a caveat — I do not recommend you use their proxies for some of the activities they say you can use their proxies for based on my experience with datacenter proxies. I will reveal these to you later in the article.

Pros and Cons of Proxy-IPV4 Proxies

Proxy-IPV4 Pros

Proxy-IPV4 Cons

Proxy Pool Size

Let's first look at the proxy pool size, which is the number of IPs a provider has in its pool for its customers to use. The providers that have a large proxy pool are proud to state it as it is a flex to them. For the Proxy-IPV4 service, this is one of the places I do have my reservations about them. If you take a look at their website, you will see that you can use their proxies for a good number of tasks ranging from social media, SEO, e-commerce, streaming, and gambling, among others. With the way the site is structured, you are made to believe it does have separate pools for each of these.

Unfortunately, the number of IPs available for each of these or even the total number of IPs in their pool is not stated. You just have to send in your orders and pray they have the number of IPs available to meet those. However, not stating the number of IPs in their pool does not make them bad.

It only makes it difficult for those who need a large number of IPs to make a decision whether to use them or not. In my experience, the best way to deal with this is by contacting their customer support and telling them the number of IPs you need. I do trust their customer support as I have used their live chat support a couple of times, and the response is swift in real-time.

Location Coverage

Which countries can you get IPs from if you decide to purchase proxies from Proxy-IPV4 proxies? The answer to this question will be determined by the specific proxies you intend to purchase from them. If you decide to go for their dedicated IPv4 proxies — their most popular proxies, then you do have access to 20 countries to choose from. These countries cut across countries North America, Europe, and Asia. Some of the countries supported here include the United States, England, Germany, Italy, and Canada, among others.

For their IPv6 proxies, the number of countries you have access to is just 7 countries — but this is also a good number as only a few top providers even support IPv6 proxies to start with. For their mobile proxies, you can just from 10 countries which also consist of countries in North America, Europe, and Asia.

One thing you need to know is that you are only allowed to choose the location of proxies at the point of purchase. Once purchased, you can’t change the location just like you can’t change IP once purchased, except there is an issue from their end. If you ask me, I will say the location coverage here is good compared to most others, as most providers of datacenter proxies only support a few countries.

Proxy-IPV4 Speed & Performance Test

Performance is an important metric you shouldn’t joke with when deciding on a proxy server to use. This is because a proxy with a performance bottleneck enough to slow things down for you will slow you down and even frustrate your project. For this reason, I set out to test out the performance of their proxies to see how fast it is and whether they can be used or not.

Unlike in other speed tests, I use a generic speed testing tool such as speedtest.net; here, I used a custom tool. This is to enable me to test the speed on specific web targets. For the test, I chose Amazon, Instagram, YouTube, Google Search, and Booking. Below is the result of the performance test carried out.

Website Download Speed (Mbps) Upload Speed (Mbps) Ping (ms)
Amazon 73.61 92.25 159
Instagram 58.43 77.94 202
YouTube 64.09 59.63 193
Google Search 89.31 64.87 158
Booking 54.22 72.48 209

Above is the result of the performance test, showing the average download and upload speed, together with the ping rate. From the result above, you can tell that Proxy-IPv4 is actually one of the fastest private proxies out there. I did increase the number of concurrent threads to see if performance will be impacted. Even though there was a reduction, it is quite negligible. I also tried browsing the Internet with it, and I could hardly tell whether I was using a proxy or not, as the speed was quite fast.

Streaming and Response Speed Test

If you look at the Proxy-IPV4 service, they suggest you can use their proxies for web scraping. However, I do not suggest the use of their proxies for web scraping as it wouldn’t be efficient and effective since the proxies offered are static IPs.

So, I swapped the scraping test with a streaming test. Can the proxies you get from the Proxy-IPv4 service be used for streaming? I tried to find out using Netflix US as a case study, and their IPv4 proxies didn’t scale through — it was blocked. However, I was able to use it for streaming on YouTube and some other streaming sites, including gaming sites. Interestingly, I have heard from credible sources that their mobile proxies can be used for streaming Netflix with no issues.

Website Avg. Response Time (ms)
Amazon 237
Instagram 285
YouTube 219
Google Search 186
Booking 375

The table above is not for the streaming test — it is for the response time in milliseconds (ms). From the result displayed above, you will agree with me that Proxy-IPV4 service private proxies are quite fast. There are only a few private proxies that can match this speed and even surpass it. This includes the likes of Proxy-seller, Proxy-Sale, and Proxy-cheap, among a few others.

This further goes in line with the result I got for the speed and performance test earlier. The values you see above are from my own setup and location, your own might be different depending on some factors.

Plans and Pricing

From the above, you can tell that the Proxy-IPV4 is a good performer. But where does it stand in terms of affordability? The Proxy-IPV4 service is one of the cheapest private proxy providers out there that you can trust will work for you. It has a flexible pricing system, allowing you to choose the location, duration, and number of proxies you need.

These are their most popular proxies and the ones we focus more on in this article. If you need just one proxy from the US for a month, then you will have to pay $1.8 for it. However, the more proxies or longer the duration you purchase the proxies for, the cheaper the pricing per proxy becomes. And if all you need is a proxy for 3 days, you can purchase that from them — but that will be you wasting money here as it is cheaper to go for their monthly or even longer plans.

IPv6 proxies are quite newer and a lot cheaper on a general note. The Proxy-IPV4 service also sells this service, and their pricing is also cheap. The pricing for this service starts from $0.16 monthly. For this service, you can’t purchase proxies for a shorter duration shorter than 30 days. There are options for a longer period, including 60 and 90 days.

These are the most expensive proxies offered by this service, and the price varies depending on the location you want to purchase for. The pricing starts from $12 / for 3 days for Kazakistan, while that of England is the most expensive at $23 for 3 days. There is also a monthly plan which costs more. Free Trial and Refund Policy:  One thing you need to know about this provider is that you must pay in other to make use of their proxies — there is no free trial. Unfortunately, there is no money-back guarantee to help you get your money back if the proxies don’t work for you.

Customer Support

Customer support is an important part of a business and the team at Proxy-IPV4 understands the need to have a responsive and helpful customer support agent on standby. For this service, you will see the live chat support system displayed conspicuously as you visit the site. I have made use of this, and the response was swift. I was not kept waiting for long neither did the agent I connected to sound clueless. In all, I will rate this service 8/10 for its live chat support feature. However, you need to.

Know that their live chat agents are not always online. If you need support and there is no support agent online to respond to your query, then you need to make use of their alternative support systems. For quick response, you can contact them via Telegram via the link displayed on their website or simply use their email address. You should get a response from them in no time. Registered members can also create support tickets.

Ease of Use

Based on my experience using the Proxy-IPV4 service, I can say it is one of the easiest providers to use out there. Its user interface is initiative and minimalistic — only showing you the UI elements required. For this service, the first step is to purchase proxies from them — not even registering an account. The process is easy, and you have multiple options in terms of payment methods ranging from your card to PayPal and cryptocurrencies.

The purchase process is automated, and you get the proxies instantly delivered to your account user dashboard. The proxies are also sent to your email address. With this, you might not even need to log into the user dashboard in other use the service since all of the proxy details, including host, port, username, and password, are all included.

However, I wouldn’t suggest you ditch the idea of using the user dashboard. This is because of some of the things you can do with it. You can check your proxy balance and when it will expire, purchase new proxies, download your proxies in a format of your choice supported, and whitelist your IPs for IP authentication.

Developer Support

If you are a developer looking to integrate a proxy service into your code, then I know you wouldn’t play with how well a provider supports developers. Where does Proxy-IPv4 stand in this regard? Do they support developers, or do they make their work difficult for them? First, the team at Proxy-IPv4 service has developers in mind and has provided a developer API.This developer API has been made to provide you access to all of the services you access from the user dashboard.

Aside from being able to get your proxies and set IPs to authenticate, there is also support to purchase new proxies and renew your subscription, all using the developer API. The API documentation is easy to understand and with code samples to get you going.

One thing you will come to like about the documentation on the possible mistakes you might face with their API. This helps prepare you and makes it easier to troubleshoot should you face any problem.

Interestingly, the proxies are worth the money labeled on them, too.

The refund policy of Proxy-IPV4 is that there is no offering of refund after payment. And they stick to this. The only reason you might get a refund is if the issue is from their end. For these reasons, I recommend you purchase the small plan you can get and test the service out before making a purchase if you are not sure their proxies will work for you.

No. Even though the service does have the term IPV4 in it name, it does not only support IPv4 proxies. You can also purchase datacenter IPv6 proxies from the same. However, for it mobile proxies, you can only get IPv4 IP addresses.

Verdict: Is Proxy-IPV4 Good Enough?

No doubt, the Proxy-IPv4 service does have its flaws. But it also does have its strength which far outweighs the flaws. The major reason I like this provider is the performance it provides, which only a few providers can rival. Aside from its performance, other things you will also like about this service are its developer support, good location coverage, affordable and flexible pricing system, and, lastly, the responsive customer support you get.

These are enough reasons for you to want to purchase proxies from them. Though their private proxies didn’t do well in terms of streaming Netflix, their mobile proxies did excellently well in that regard. For this reason, the Proxy-IPV4 service is a recommended provider.
