This mattress is made of a Tactel cover which is a blend of polyester and rayon. It is certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.You can remove the zipper and wash the stretchy cover, which is quite convenient.
Foam layers Leesa has a total thickness of 10 inches and is made of 3 layers:The top layer is the 2” Avena foam, which resembles the properties of latex foam. The second layer is made of 2” memory foam for great body contouring. Finally, the bottom layer is made of 6” support foam which sustains a supportive surface and keeps you cool. Similar to Leesa, this mattress is 10 inches thick and consists of two basic layers of T&N Adaptive® Foam blended high resilience polyurethane foam. This foam is CertiPUR-US approved.

Firmness

  LEESA TUFT & NEEDLE
Leesa conforms to the trends of neutral firmness, a universal medium firm feels which most users will find adequate. Tuft & Needle definitely feels firmer than Leesa at a 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Make sure you make the right choice based on your preference here.

Support

  LEESA TUFT & NEEDLE
Construction Leesa feels quite comfortable and is quite supportive overall as it offers sufficient body support. It provides more of a buoyant feeling instead of an enveloped one. Although the Tuft & Needle offers plenty of support, still we think Leesa is slightly better in this area. This is based on personal testing.
Edge support Leesa does a really good job in terms of edge support. This is good news if you want to use your mattress for more than sleeping. Tuft & Needle offers a similar to Leesa better than average edge support. No winner here really.

Motion transfer

  LEESA TUFT & NEEDLE
There is minimal motion transfer when you sleep on Leesa. This makes it a great mattress if you are a couple and want undisturbed sleep. The Tuft & Needle performs really well in terms of motion isolation. It is pretty much the same level as Leesa in this area, perhaps slightly better due to the special foam used which uses a localized bounce technology.

Cooling effect

  LEESA TUFT & NEEDLE
Leesa performs quite well in terms of heat retention. The cool structure is such that will help ensure a restful sleep. The Tuft & Needle sleeps really cool, with its breathable cover and wicking heat technology. However it doesn’t beat Leesa, they both seem to perform really well in dealing with heat retention.

Final Verdict

Getting down to bits and pieces to decide which is better, Leesa or the Tuft & Needle mattress, it is really a matter of personal taste. While Tuft & Needle offers great value for its money, Leesa is still affordable and definitely a great high-quality product.

Both mattresses offer a medium firmness feel, however, Tuft & Needle feels a bit firmerLeesa, on the other hand, provides more of the sort of memory foam cushioning, so it is best recommended if you are looking for that type of mattress. Tuft & Needle has a simpler, basic structure which results in a firmer mattress. This is especially the case for heavier sleepers, in particular, if they sleep on their stomach or for petite side sleepers.

Both mattresses offer a cool sleeping surface thanks to their top layers, while they share the same warranty and trial period policy.

All things considered, the Leesa is best suited for any type of sleeper and body weight, as well as someone who prefers a classic memory foam feel. Tuft & Needle, on the other hand, is ideal if you prefer a firmer feeling mattress and are on a budget.

Conclusively, although we feel Leesa is better taking into consideration all areas, it is still up to you to decide which suits you best.
