📸 Unleash Your Creativity: Dreamlike Infrared Photography Unlock the world of semi-infrared photography with this classic 720nm wavelength filter. It precisely blocks visible light while allowing infrared rays to pass through, letting you capture dramatic black-and-white masterpieces with ease. Alternatively, achieve the iconic dreamy "semi-IR" look through simple post-processing (e.g., red-blue channel swapping)—transform skies into deep blues and foliage into ethereal whites, making your work truly stand out on social media.
How are classic infrared photos created? Method 1: External Filter on Unmodified Camera Modern cameras have an internal IR-cut filter for color accuracy. Attaching an IR 720nm filter won't give you black-and-white images straight out of camera—it captures a deep red RAW file instead. Post-processing (custom white balance + red-blue channel swap) is required to achieve the classic IR look. Method 2: Camera Conversion For a smoother experience, have your camera professionally modified by removing the internal IR-cut filter and replacing it with full-spectrum transparent glass.

Infrared filters, sometimes called IR filters or heat-absorbing filters, are designed to allow IR mid-infrared wavelengths while block visible light. They are often used in devices with bright incandescent light bulbs (such as slide and overhead projectors) to prevent unwanted heating
There are also filters which are used in solid state (CCD or CMOS) video cameras to allow IR due to the high sensitivity of many camera sensors to near-infrared light. These filters typically have a blue hue to them as they also sometimes block some of the light from the shorter visible light and UV wavelengths
